The modern facilities of the Radionuclide Center of the department are a solid basis for good research. Within the almost 2500 square meters laboratory area, 17 hotcels, 14 fume hoods, 27 HPLC systems, 3 UPLC systems, in-house developed radiosynthesis equipment, Synthera synthesis box, Nuclear Interface FDG and Methyliodide, LC-MS/MS, multi-well counters, phosphorimager, animal PET, molecular pharmacology facilities, housing for animals, including GMA are situated. The facility has a B-level license for radionuclides which gives permission to work with all radionuclides. The group has however focus on Carbon-11, Oxygen-15, Fluor-18, Zirconium-89, Iodine-124; other radionuclides are of lesser importance but of significant interest nonetheless, like Iodine-123, Gallium-68, tritium and Carbon-14.
The lab has 2 cleanroom facilities for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals and has full equipment to meet current standards of GMP, both in manufacture as in Quality Control.
